rejections

Well, I've been applying to agents. I'm hoping that one of them will pick up my stories, love them and send them off to New York where they will become best selling novels and possibly get opted for Hollywood movie or a Cable series...

Yeah, I'm pretty sure most authors have that same dream. Though I've gone to great trouble putting minute details in my fantasy that I'm not exactly sharing at the moment... (Hmmm... maybe another short story? LOL)

But the first step in that path is finding an agent.

And right now, the only thing that keeps me from eating ice cream until I get sick is what one of my dear friends said to me. "At the start of every great author's career, there were a bunch of rejection letters."

So, I shall continue to press forward...and only sulk mildly from time to time.

hurry up and wait...

Okay, so, I've been quiet, but I've been busy, I swear!

I have submitted three stories and a query letter, and revamped (pun intended) a story so that perhaps I can find it a home...
Now, I just have to hurry up and wait. lol.
I should hear back about two (maybe three) queries within days of each other, and another one will still be about a month or so longer than that.

Impatience wracks me! We are not close friends, patience and I. I know it's a virtue, but I'm not really sure my nerves can handle it. lol.

In addition to that, I'm doing pretty good in school. I have guaranteed A's in two of my classes, I'm doing really well in two more of my classes, and I need to buckle down and study a little bit more in one of my classes so I can get an acceptable (to me) grade. -- I will be working on a study guide for that class as soon as I finish my update.

I just didn't want more days/weeks/months to pass without me doing some kind of an update.
hmmm... I just officially changed the title of this blog. lol.
